Hello there! My name is Deema Aweidah, a young Palestinian woman with roots in Nablus and Al Quds, and I am the proud founder of Tatreez Falasteeny. Though I did not grow up in Palestine, the rich heritage of my homeland has always been a part of me, thanks to my mother, Rima Al Amad. She taught me the traditional art of Palestinian embroidery, known as Tatreez, and through her guidance, I found a deep connection to my roots. Tatreez is more than just embroidery; it is a tapestry of our history, dreams, and resilience. Each piece tells a story of our heritage, capturing the essence of our culture and the beauty of our traditions.

At Tatreez Falasteeny, our mission is to preserve and celebrate Palestinian heritage through authentic, handcrafted products while building a platform that connects people to the beauty, resilience, and traditions of Palestine. More than just a brand, we envision a one-stop shop for authentic and trusted Palestinian products, creating a marketplace that supports like-minded Palestinian artisans and businesses. We are committed to cultural preservation, ethical craftsmanship, and sustainability, ensuring that every piece tells a story and empowers our community. Through our work, we strive to keep the art of Tatreez alive, foster a sense of identity and pride, and make Palestinian culture accessible to the world.

Our journey began in 2020, when I fell in love with the art of Tatreez through my mother. I started by creating handmade embroidery pieces, selling framed artwork to family and friends. As my passion grew, so did my vision. Between 2021 and 2023, I expanded my offerings to include handmade tote bags, bookmarks, and other embroidered pieces, all while balancing university and building Tatreez Falasteeny from the ground up.

By 2024, Tatreez Falasteeny had evolved into a full-fledged brand, moving beyond handmade tatreez to include a diverse range of Palestinian inspired products, allowing us to establish a stronger presence in the UAE market. Now, in 2025, we are taking the next step, transforming Tatreez Falasteeny into a marketplace for authentic Palestinian products, a one-stop destination that not only celebrates Palestinian heritage but also supports like-minded artisans and businesses. This is just the beginning of a much bigger journey, and we’re excited to have you be part of it.
